Hi all,

TK: The method outlined below by Esther also works for creating keyboard shortcuts that are not Apple Scripts. For example, if you use a specific menu item often in any given application, and it does not have a keyboard shortcut, you can assign it one using this method. Just be careful that you don't make it the same key combination as a built-in one or you may cause problems.

Esther said: Consider the instructions on how to get to the Keyboard Shortcuts tab of
the Keyboard & Mouse Menu in System Preferences changed! Readers
only need to know they can press the "+" button to add a new shortcut
definition, and that they should VO-keys+right arrow to select iTunes
as the App for the shortcut definition, then supply the name of the
AppleScript and then type in the shortcut they want to assign.

Shortcut assignments should always be done when the app is closed,
but this assignments works quite generally.

Cheers,

Esther
