Hey Cara, Hmm, from experience I don't really like xcode for working with java projects, and apple's pretty dead set on trying to get devs using cocoa and objc anyway. Using eclipse, netbeans or intellij and then going to use xcode is like a massive step back. I suppose it all depends on what you do though - half the time I can't switch IDEs conveniently because that's what everyone else is working on and it's just convenient to use it, etc.
