You said: don't know how this happened, but some how I have two cards for the same person in my address book. When I select one of them, I can't seem to find a delete button. Thought i saw one before somewhere when working with the address book, but I'm not sure now.
TK: Just use the Delete key on your keyboard or look under the Edit menu for Delete Card.
