Hi Ted,

TR: I've recently bought a MacBook and am having trouble accessing many features - there's a dearth of tutorials for the blind Mac user. Can anyone give me a step-by-step account of how to use both the keyword search option and the browse option in the Mac Help (the one accessed at the end of the menu bar after VO-m)?

TK: Once in MacHelp:

• Interact With the toolBar then navigate left once to reach the Search field.
• type in your search criteria and press return.
• a Table will appear. If you're not already Interacting With the Table, do so. • You can navigate down or right to hear the items that matched your search. • if you wish to read one of those choices, press VO-shift-space-space (double-click of the mouse). • An HTML area will appear which you should Interact With and you can then read the given documentation for that result. • To get back to the Table of result options, Stop Interacting With the HTML area, navigate to the ToolBar and press the Back button. • You can then navigate to another choice and read the details of its results using the same method as outlined above. • sometimes the cmd-[ (left bracket, the key just to the right of the letter p) works for going Back, it did in Tiger anyway but I've found it less consistent in the Help for Leopard. • If anything reads as "link" within the HTML area, you can use VO- space to activate that link.

Hope this helps some.
