To me, I'd say you can't go wrong with either. I think iChat,
in some ways, is easier to configure at this point and it offers audio
chat, which Adium does not. However, you have the ability to use MSN
and Yahoo with Adium and the developers are working to make everything
completely accessible. I would try them both and see what works for
you.
