Here are some helpfull commands.
cmd-shift-h brings you to your home folder in the Finder
cmd-shift-u brings up the utilities folder
cmd-shift-a brings up the applications folder
You can find these commands by going to the menubar under go menu
cmd-1/2/3/4 changes tto the four different views in the FInder, 1-icon view, 2-list view 3-column view, 4-coverflow view.
These commands can be found in the menus under the view menu.

VO-f1 twice brings up the application chooser
VO-f2 twice brings up the window chooser.
cmd-o opens an app in the Finder
cmd-w closes most windows
cmd-, opens the app's preferences for all OS X apps
cmd-i brings up the file information window in the Finder, usefull for checking file permissions

As you may have discovered, many system commands are similar to Windows, except OS X uses the command key modifier instead of the control key. For example, to create a new file in TextEdit, or create a new window in the Finder, you can use cmd-n. Similarly, the cut/ copy/paste commands use the modifier commandkey.

Hi cara.

mac book will be here friday so going to collect it friday morning. I will then be updating it and configuring it within a couple of hours. after which I will test it out and see what happens.. I will some stage next week be launching a series of tutorials in garage band. so will be demonstrating voiceover and showing what garage band can do.

my present observations are this though. I have to say I wouldnt dare compare it to logic studio 8 in any way.

I will be revealing accessibility and workarounds for logic in due course.

take care hun and all

Hi all,
Has anyone used Garage band to write music? If so, any suggestions on where I should start? A month or so ago I started a thread about accessible music writing software for the Mac, but I believe there still is no VO usable program. Any ideas, anyone?

thanks

Vermont Tom
