Mine will also do that from time to time, and I don't know what's
causing it to happen. I'm thinking it happens when somebody signs in
or something. When I go to that new window, by using the window
chooser menu, VO f2 f2, and go to that window, it just goes away, or
there's nothing in it, so I don't really know what it is, as for your
msn account disappearing, not sure on that one.
