Hi Ted,

You asked:
>Reading through your instructions I see that I had correctly achieved some of

>Collections list I'm not now able to use the bookmark to take me to the web

The general rule for navigating to a bookmarked web site from the
"Show all bookmarks" page is to go to the bookmark entry in the
outline and press space. (If you think this isn't working you can
always check this by copying the URL when you're in the address
field with command+c, then typing command+l to go to the address
bar, paste with command+v, and return. The command+l will open
up the address bar even if it has been hidden.)

You can either navigate to your bookmark with VoiceOver and your
arrow keys or by using a search. For example, first choose a folder
in your collections table (tab to this table, interact, VO-keys down arrow
to find the folder of interest) then tab to the outine of bookmarks for
that folder, interact and VO-keys down arrow to the bookmark of
interest. If you've put the bookmark into a subfolder, you may hear
"collapsed" when you reach the folder, and have to expand it
with VO-keys+backslash before you can VO-keys down arrow to
reach the bookmark. Once at the bookmark I press my space bar.
"Double-clicking" (holding down VO-keys+shift and tapping my
space bar twice quickly) also works to navigate to the link.

If you use the "Find" (Command+f) search method, make sure that
you don't hear any "boinks". If you type a non-existent search
string you need to press escape to dismiss the find window.
(VO-keys+right arrow past your typed search string will say
"not found")

Any bookmark that you use really frequently should be placed
in the bookmarks bar, so you can use the shortcuts command+1,
command+2, etc. to go to your first nine listed bookmarks.
Other bookmarks that you use semi-frequently you might
want to put in the bookmarks menu -- easiest to go the
page and then use command+shift+d if the default web page
name is OK.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

P.S. I recall there were some list mentions of other software
products like Bookdog and Sogudi to organize or customize
bookmarks.
