You will get use to it, but another combo you can use to open programs and file folders is command down arrow.

Hi friends,

I'm getting into mac os and exploring the programs bit by bit, and one thing above all else is really starting to irritate me. That is the behavior of the enter key in finder. It pops up a box you can use to rename the file or folder that has focus. If you want to just open the thing you have to use command O. What is the dang sense of that? How often do you want to rename safari and itoons for example, compaired with the number of times you just want it to open? Please, is there any way to change this aweful behavior?

Thanks,

Erik
