The issue with Reason is it is simply so visual that making it accessible is going to be a real burden on the developer. Just like the Audio Hijack Pro issues I spoke about earlier last month. They would have to get that thing out of Carbon first. Then look what happens with custom content areas, if Microsoft can't get it right with a text editor and spreadsheet, how do we get a "visual" rack of equipment available to us? Reason is set up to give old schoolers a digital experience with their virtual rack concept. At least back in the day, things had buttons and knobs etc.

hey lew one more thing to ask the skype developers out. remembwer when were in a skype confference and i wanted to add someone to my skype list that wasn't in my list and it'll say the name of the person and a button? well using every combination i know of, i can't get vo to activate this button. can you ask the developers to look into this since you've all ready gotten contact with them? also to make the transfer window accessible again? you can't see what someone's sending and what you're sending someone else. all you get is an unknown table and you get a clear button and how many transfers you have in this window. thanks so much for your work to make mac apps accessible!

well lets just put it this way friend.

logic is always going to be close to my heart. I've always used it on the older macs on OS9 with outspoken and it did so much for me. I was never let down by it.

I'm intergrating logic studio 8 with my rig in the next week or so and spending time with apple with this issue. its something very close to my heart and if we can get somewhere on this then even better. I'm used to pro audio software shortcuts so I'm only too happy to learn new ones lol. just as long as i flash my pram mounted next to my right ear with a little button lol then I can keep shortcuts where I like hehehehehe now thats humour.

a friend came up with this comment once. what would happen if we had computer hookup capabilities. that then expanded to several interfaces in strange places lol hehehehe

sound track pro? where did you get that from friend?

No, that's perfect. That's what we all need to do if we want developers to take us seriously. At this time we make up such a small number of users that the only way to be heard is to be in contact with developers. We can't speak with our wallets because we won't be noticed with so little cash flow. Now, on the other hand, if we encourage our friends to switch to the Mac, that could change.

We're still on a platform that everyone uses. No adaptive tech here, just tech. Just remember that, make that your message to your friends. Apple is committed to access, and we need to let people know we're here finally taking advantage of it. Companies like Skype who show an interest in access need to be rewarded by our use and promotion of their product. Tell your friends they don't need any silly JAWS script to use Skype on a Mac.

By the way, I just received my copy of Soundtrack Pro with Logic Studio. So far, I have found the tool to be extremely accessible. However, you had better be ready to memorize or reference more keyboard commands than you've ever memorized or referenced before. Exciting stuff happening here.

hey gang

for us users of skype on the mac we have issues with interacting with certain features, no object labels etc and annoying issues.

after a day of compiling issues and flaws from my testing as well as others who have mentioned problems to me I have been in touch with the technical developer team at skype who have taken on all my reports and issues with skype for mac, included reference for the apple developer access guidelines etc. positive news is that they will be working on fixes for these problems in the next release or two. so we may find a fair bit happening.

hope you guys dont mind me dipping my tooes in the water there lol
