I've had a similar experience in my work database which has HTML
tables. Perhaps Apple has an answer - I think it's a VoiceOver issue.
I'm sending my sample web pages from work to Apple to to see if they
can resolve it. The database developer has given me some sample pages
that don't contain confidential material. I can share them with you
if you have interest.
