No, I most certainly did not unintentionally install the move util,
<smile> as I totally intentionally installed it! lol!
This though, is a different option altogether and is outside the
Automator menu under the more menu. lol! Jeez, did that make sense?
Anyway, if I go to my more menu, here's what I have.
• Quick Access
• Move to
• Copy to
• Make Alias in
• Send {selected file} to bluetooth Device
• Enable Folder Actions
• Configure Folder Actions
I should mention here, that I'm using Column mode.

Yeah you might have installed that move utility thing without
knowing it. But certainly there is no such functionality included
with OS anything right now.
I remember Greg mentioned a while back that the reason why we don't
have something liek ctrl x to cut files in os x, is because that
means that the file is temporarily destroyed and if you copy
something else to the clipboard, it will be gone forever (the file
you were moving). But I wonder if there is not a way we could just
attach an earmark for a file to be moved. Press ctrl x, and instead
of copying the file to the clipboard, it puts a tag of some sort
that instructs the system to do the equiv of a mouse drag to the
folder that someone selects with another command like ctrl c or
perhaps ctrl shift x or something else. If I press ctrl x to
earmark a file for moving, and then press ctrl c to copy another
file to the clipboard, the earmark on the first will just disappear.
But in the mean time I use terminal. And I sure would like a syntax
for selecting multiple files for moving or copying in terminal. I
think I asked this a while back and didn't see an answer.
