Hey Jerry,

When I was running Fusion, I was also running on the same spec but with a macbook pro. Either way, very little differences in performance I should think between the two units. Not sure how far back you go, but if you ever saw Windows running under Virtual PC, the lag is nowhere near as bad as that. It's just a slight delay between key presses and speech output that got on my nerves in the end, but You'll find that actual processing for big batch tasks and whatnot performs really quite well. It's usable, very much usable, but I'm fussy.

If you didn't already know, fusion has a free trial for a 30 day period, so you can test it out and if you're as fussy as me you might want to go the bootcamp route, but at least you can test it without laying down any cash.

just some thoughts... hope it helps.
Scott

Subject: Using Fusion on the new MacBooks

Hey guys, one of the things I'm wanting to do with my MacBook once I get it is to run Windows XP via Fusion. Are the lag issues previously posted on the list still an issue, or has it gotten any better with the newer updates to their hardware? Bare in mind that I will have the 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with 2 gb of ram, so plenty of ram to give to the virtual machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jerry
