Hi friends, At last I get to help with an answer for something. Since I don't believe we ever got a satisfactory id3 tagger for media files, let me recomend the one below. I find it just a shade clumsey, but very functional with voiceover and very feature rich. I'm going to buy the mp3 only version. I don't really need more than that, but the full version at $29.95 is pretty reasonable for all the things it does.

Best,

Erik

On the Mac you might want to try MediaRage for ID3 tag manipulation

It sounds like they forgot the track numbers in the id3 tags. That's
an easy fix under windows. Since I switched to mac last month I'v
been on a user group for new users of mac os leppard, and some one
their asked for a good id3 tag editor. Uncharacteristicly for that
group an answer wasn't forth-coming.

I just returned a Blackstone Audio book to kitabe.com unlistened
to and as far as I can tell, unlistenable. I use an iPod. There
were 63 chapter-files on the mp3. the files themselves were
named 01,02, etc... very nice. but when I brought them into
iTunes, all the files were named the same thing: the title of
the book. No chapter numbers or sequence numbers at all.

And when I brought the files into iTunes, only 60 of the 63
files imported, even when I brought them into iTunes as separate
files. I had no way of knowing which of the 63 files were not
copying over into iTunes. This happened multiple times.

It wasn't a book I was panting to read, just ordered it because
someone somewhere had recommended it and it sounded interesting,
so there was no way I was going to import 63 files one at a
time, and retitle/number them so I'd have the sequence number
right.

so, the book went back to kitabe unloaded and unread, and I have
a very bad taste in my mouth about ordering future Blackstone
books.

Please, audiobook publishers, please put sequence numbers in the
chapter titles, so this sort of thing doesnt' happen again!
