Depends on whether or not you are planning on a family anytime soon really. ;-)

I have one of those lap trays with a bag on the bottom that contains those little beads used for packing, we call it polystyrene over here but I think you have another name for the foam beads over the pond, the trays are designed for meals really but they keep the heat off the knees and thighs and give a stable support for the M.B. Oh yeah and I discovered that if the tray is made of plastic the heat can buckle the tray so have one with a wood tray now and it's the dog's gonads√Cheers!
