Anyone know of some good video editing software?

Listers I have finally been able to get my Mac configured to work with  
my TIVO with the help of a good list member and friend using a few  
hacks and workarounds. Now I want to edit video and don't know what I  
should get to do this. Are there any video guys out there that can  
advise on this topic?
