Hey Jane. I'm curious, how are you getting dvd audio in to aiff files? I've been using mac the ripper to extract the audio from DVDs, but this gives me an ac3 file. I then have to use quicktime pro to get that audio in to m4a, or mp3 or whatever.

Oooh, do tell! I have to go through the long, ardous process of extracting audio from a DVD then converting it to MP3 from AIFFm, *then* putting it onto the Windows machine and maxing the volume with GoldWave ... then putting it back onto the iBook, importing into iTunes, and labeling said audio file appropriately.

See why I only have four movies ...?

Yup, it seems that we move in the same circles. I have that one too. I bet I have something you might be interested in though. I finally found a way to convert those TIVO files into a format that we can use on the I Pod and in my wife's case, her Creative Zin. I also can strip the audio from a movie and just put that on the player as well. Do you have a need for any of this?

Hi Shaun. I haven't used a lot of itunes scripts myself. The only notable one I can think of is also from doug's scripts. It's purpose is to make tracks book markable, which causes them to show up in the audio books section instead of the songs section. I've found it useful when converting books in text form to audio.

I got this script on yesterday and can confirm that it works great. Thanks for this tip. Do you use any others that you've found useful?

Is there any way to just have the computer check for any "invalid locations" in the iTunes library and delete the entries? I deleted a book that I had converted to audio, because in the end I decided reading it in B raille would be best.

Thoughts?
