I'd really love to have a Sony Pc-Md50, but in Swedish money it's way
beyond my budget, especially now when i want to have an Imac.
I wonder why that fellow of yours didn't like the Zoom? Personally i
find it very good. Ok, with the wrong mics, the external mike input is
rather hissy, but with my Sound Professionals mics and even with the
Church audio mics i have it sounds just fine.

I was going to buy the r09 for my sister. Boy am I glad I didn't.
I asked the guy at the store to show me something to do the same job
with a nicer control surface, and I got the sony pcm50. A! May!
Zing! She hasn't picked it up yet, so it may get lost here soon and
find it's way into my humble technology collection, smiles. We are
both getting the custome built Churche Audio stc9000 microbinoral
package, but I'll probably just plug mine into my macbook til I get
the money for my own sony pcm50 or equivilant.
Don't the big IPod jukebox players record? That would surprise me
if they didn't, especially because a few of them or rockboxable. I
looked at the zoom last year, but I mentioned to one of my live show
taping compatriets that I was comparing the edirol, the iriver, and
the zoom and leaning towards the zoom because of the significant
price break. He told me he'd made some test recordings with the
edirol and the zoom, and the zoom hadn't stacked up.

Welcome to the list. Still using the R-09? (smile)
Nope, actually i changed to a Zoom H2 which i found less noisy, but
not before managing to change batteries and close the
compartment.:-) Wonder if there are recordable ipods, that is Ipods
with recording on them?:)
