Hey there,
I am a new Mac user as well and I'm learning just as you are. One thing to
keep in mind with the mac is that you have to interact with elements when
using applications. When you are using skype for example, you should be able
to use your VO keys along with your arrow keys to arrow over to a table
which will contain your contacts. If you interact with this table by
pressing VO+shift+Down arrow you should then just be able to use the up and
down arrows by themselves to view your contacts. If you wanted to make a
call, you would just press enter on the contact. There is also a search
field at the top of the page which allows you to look up contacts a lot
faster.
As for Adium, in order to see your responses, you again need to arrow to an
area, which will sometimes be labeled as HTML Content, and sometimes labeled
Unknown. If you interact with this area, you will see what you've typed as
well as what the other individual typed in response. I hope this helps some.
If you are interested in learning together and swapping tips and
suggestions, please feel free to add me to skype or MSN.

Subject: Questions
Hey all, I haven't been able to check up on this list for a while due to
my Mac acting up. I have finally got the spacebar to work, along with the
applications! Now that I have the Mac, I have a few questions regarding
Adium, and Skype.
Is there anyway to jump from conversation to conversation? I seem to have
many contacts responding at once, and I am only seeing one window. I
don't quite understand how this system works yet. And, how would one go
about viewing the history in Adium? I can only write in the textedit
boxes. That seems to be a problem. :(
About Skype, how does one view their contact list? I am able to update my
profile, and change online status, but I do not see my buddies. :O(
I probably could go on forever with questions, but I guess that is it for
now. I am pretty frustrated with learning all the new commands. I'm still
glad I made the move over to Mac, but I do hope to learn this system
soon.
Thank you in advance for your help!
