Hello all.

This only happens occasionally, but when it does, I'm not sure how to fix it other than quitting and relaunching the application. One example that comes to mind is when I'm using Safari, I'll find that I'll be navigating around the page and then suddenly, I'm in the finder. I can command+tab back to Safari, but the "default window" seems to be the finder rather than the previously-used application. If I'm in Mail and let the screen saver come up, the finder will take focus when exiting the screen saver rather than Mail. It's very strange.

Yesterday, I was playing around in iTunes and noticed that it was acting a little weird, but not enough to hinder what I was doing. However, when my friend was looking at the screen, he couldn't see what I was doing in iTunes because Mail seemed to have the focus even though VoiceOver was focused on iTunes. I quit iTunes and restarted it and then things were fine.

One last example is when I am using Mail and viewing messages. I delete the message and suddenly there doesn't seem to be any focussed Window in Mail. I'm in the Mail app, but can't move around at all. Sometimes, the menu bar doesn't even come up right, but if it does come up, I seem to be able to bring back the INBOX and continue reading mail.

I think all of this has to do with a common problem, but I don't know enough about how application windows work. I assumed that they always come up looking fine and that whichever one VO was focussed on appeared in front of all the other windows.

Hopefully, I haven't gone about the long way of explaining all of this, but if anyone has any input or suggestions, this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.

Best regards,
