I love cassettes and records but want to record mine onto my Mac for safe keeping. Usually, I record something from the computer onto a tape with a patch cord and headphones. But when I tried the reverse, I couldn't hear what I was trying to tape. I was using TapeDeck and they also didn't have an option for recording from the microphone jack (I'm guessing it's the line-in). That's something I'll ask the manufacturer about. Anyway, does anyone know of a free program that'll allow me to do this? I know of Audio Hijack Pro, but that's not free. If I did get it though, is it really good for recording streaming media like radio stations? I could just use TapeDeck and record from the speakers with no problems, but I'm curious.
Thanks, Tiffanitsa
