I catch your drift, thanks.

Hi Vashaun,
You asked: one of the items on the context menu of any folder or
file is a duplicate item. If you choose this option it does just
that. My question is why would this be helpful? Does anyone have a
use for it?
TK: In the sighted world, the vast majority of folks use the mouse
for drag and drop purposes so the Copy/Paste sort of thing that us
VO users use is not so common. When you use a mouse to drag an item
from one place to another, it does just that, it moves it from one
place to the other. So if you wish to keep a copy in the original
location and move a copy to another, then duplicate is your man.
You can do this using the Option key as well by simply holding down
the option key while dragging the item you wish to duplicate,
dragging it to the new location and releasing the mouse. The
original is left where it was and a new copy is place in the desired
location. Only works for sighted users, but it's still kind of
cool. In any case, I have found use for Duplicate on occasion when
I want to play with the contents of a folder but don't care to mess
with the original.
