After considerable experimentation, it seems that we're definitely not working with Spaces yet. It is a little closer, but not quite there. The problem with Command-Tab is partially fixed. Focus does not jump from space to space, but that application still becomes active without moving you to the space in which it is running. Sound confusing? Yeah, I thought so too.

What essentially happens is if you tab from an app running in Space 1 for example, to an app running in Space 2, that app becomes active without focus moving to its window, so you'll have access to its menu bar, but that's all. Very weird and seeming totally pointless.

If Command-Tab didn't activate the apps at all in other spaces, we'd be in good shape. This is very bizarre behavior to me, and I can't think for the life of me the point in this behavior.
