Hi John, The playlists in iTunes' Sources Outline under "Library" for Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Audiobooks, and Radio Streams are part of the natural organization of iTunes, so your music tracks will always appear under the Songs Outline corresponding to your Music Playlist in the Sources Outline. You can, however, create your own playlists that are made up of selections from these libraries. If you have created a playlist and want to add entries to it, select one or more tracks in the Songs Outline for a particular Library playlist, and then use the contextual menu (VO-keys+shift+m) to find the option "Add to Playlist", right arrow to the submenu, and either use the up and down arrow keys, or type the first few letters of the playlist you created to specify which playlist you are adding the track(s) to. For example, if you really wanted to select every track in your Music library and put them into your new playlist, from the Songs Outline of your Music Library you could use Command+a (select all), VO-keys-shift-m (to open the contextual menu), arrow down to "Add to Playlist", right arrow to the sub-menu, then either type the first few letters of the name of your playlist or arrow down to find it. In general, you'd probably want to limit your selections by artist, or album, some other criteria either by typing some terms you want to match into the search text field (Command-Option-f to navigate there; then type in some search term like words from the title of the album or from the name of the songs) before you tab back to the Songs Outline to select tracks. Or else, you'd toggle on the Browser (Command-b) so that you could select your Music by Genre, Artist, and/or Album before choosing tracks in the Songs Outline and adding them to your playlist. When the browser is toggled on, your tabbing takes you from the search text field to the three browser areas (options for selecting by Genre, Artist, and Album) before you tab to the Songs Outline. Any selection you make in the browser or the typed search text field will restrict the displayed entries in the Songs Outline to matching entries. Another command-b will toggle the browser off.
This question was answered in yesterday's posts, so you might want to check those for more information.
