Hi all,
for the past few days, I noticed strange behavior from my email
program. It'll tell me things like "inbox, 121 messages, 181 unred".
Also, one time, I wanted to quit with command-q but couldn't; I had to
use force quit. Finally, when I press the getmail button in the
toolbar, it doesn't respond as fast as it used to.
I don't know if it has anything to do with all this but, the other
day, I ran "repair disk permissions" and it did indeed find a group
that was wrong and 2 permissions (RW instead RWR) that it fixed. Is
this related? Why would permissions be altered unnecessarily? Is
there any way to bring my email environment back to the way it was
when I fell in love with the Mac? :-)
