Mike, I haven't done much with tracks in Amadeus Pro, but you can definitely select to the beginning of the file.
#1 Play and get to the part of the file from which you want to select.
#2 press cmd-y to route the insertion pointer to your play head.
#3 press cmd-left arrow, this will extend to the beginning of the file assuming you have no markers set.

HTH,

Steve
PS There's a new version of Amadeus pro available that incorporates a keyboard shortcut for unfocusing the keyboard. Great if you interact with the zoom, or track names and then can't get the keyboard controls to work in playback. If anyone needs the link, let me know and I'll send it out individually.

Thanks,

Steve

hi;
i'm writing to ask anyone who uses Amadeus Pro for some help. I installed the demo, played with it a bit, but am curious, if i wanna select from a point in a file to the start of that same file how do i do this? And second of all, say i open up my voice track for example, do some editing on that, then want to mix it with a musi bed, could you give me directions on doing this?
thanks
