Well, I'm going to do it through file information. I haven't tried it yet, but it should work nicely. Find a file who's default player you want to change, such as an mp3 file and hit command I. The options to change the default program for mp3's will be in the meriad of information in that window. Press command w when done and then hit command O on a few mp3's. They shold open in vlc.

Well guys, it's byebye itunes for me. I will probably use it as a pod catcher, since it works quite well in that regard, but it's VLC for me from now on. I'm sick of it importing my voice mail messages and audiobooks into my music library, and all the other rediculous clouning around it does just to listen to music.
