Hi Mike. The star ratings are just another way of categorizing your
music. For example, you could make a smart playlist of all your
favorite songs, by making the criteria be all songs with a five star
rating. Or you could do something more advanced like favorite songs
that I haven't heard in a while. Or maybe you want to clean out your
library. You could have it show you all one star songs, and you could
decide if you wanted to get rid of any of them.
I don't use the ratings myself, so there may be other things you can
do that I'm not aware of.
