Problems with Skype and Safari?

Hey all,
I seem to have come up with a problem with FaceBook and Skype. When in  
a conversation, Skype keeps on popping back up and making me lose my  
place on Facebook. Is there a way to keep Skype from overtaking my  
computer? It's very frustrating. Sometimes I return to FaceBook, and  
Skype returns just as I find my place on the page. It is quite  
frustrating. Any help would be great.
