How are Windows products made accessible? Can you use FireFox on Windows without a screen reader other than narrator?… Can it be used successfully with narrator?…

So FF hit its record with about 8M downloads in 24 hours. I downloaded a copy but it's totally inaccessible. I can get to the window chrome and the pull-down menus, but that's it. The whole content area does not exist as far as VO is concerned.
