Hello. I know that the VLC player plays .m3u playlists. I know this
because an internet radio network that I listen to uses a .m3u file
and VLC plays it fine.

Hi,
On Windows, our entire music library is based on M3U playlists.
We have a hard drive dedicated just for music, and a directory on
the main hard drive with playlists. When we run a playlist, the
proper files play in Winamp. What's the easiest way to accommodate
this on the Mac? I tried making up an M3U file with paths like
Macintosh HD:users:JaysonSmith:public:music:Tommy Collins:a.mp3 and
so on, and it's not working to just open that playlist up. Itunes is
opening, and is offering tons of other stuff. Is there a very simple
program for just playing music files, which doesn't have all the
stuff Itunes has, or is there a way to do this in Itunes and still
use M3U playlists? Also, how do you properly specify the complete
path to a file? Thanks.
