I've downloaded from Sendspace with my Mac before, and it's do-able.  
Easiest way would be vo+i (for item chooser) and find the download  
link text, then navigate from there to the filename link to download.

As for the upload button to choose your files, I've found that in  
order to press these, I must use VO+shift+space (which emulates a  
mouse click) for the dialog to come up. It never does otherwise.
