Hi
Is this a commercial dvd? If it is, you can't simply copy them, due to
a number of factors--DVD size, encryption, etc. You'd need software
such as MacTheRipper to rip it and DVD2One to burn it to a regular
4.7gb dvd. The length of the DVD isn't important, what's important is
the amount of space on each dvd.

Hi Listers,
I am trying to copy a DVD using disk utility. I've successfully
copied the dvd to my desktop but when I inserted a clean dvd into my
superdrive, and click burn button, I get a message that the inserted
hasn't got enough space. The clean disk is120 minutes long and the
one i'm copying is a 100 minutes long. I don't understand why I am
not allowed to copy and the message "there's not enough free space"
comes up. Any ideas would be appreciated.
