thanks, James, I will try draft mode. Like you said, I didn't think I needed to interact with the text but occasionally I would get stuck with the familiar bong bong sound when trying to move the cursor and so interacting with the text was the only way I could read what I had written or opened in Nisus.

Thanks again. Simon

Dear Simon,

You do not need to interact with the text at leat in my experience. Just using the arrow keys without the VO keys should allow you to navigate the text. If you are finidng that this is not the case, maybe try working in draft mode? Incidentally can you read text or footnotes on any pages after the first one?

Thanks
Take care

Dear All,

It has happened a few times when I am in Nisus Pro and trying to write and edit a document. I can interact with the text and read it with vo keys but I can't seem to be able to move the cursor by using cursor keys alone or route cursor to particular words or letters and input text. Has anyone experienced such a behaviour? It's disconcerting when you are in the middle of something and suddenly you are stuck. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how and why it is happening? I should be able to edit and move around the text using just cursor keys once interacting with the text, shouldn't I? Or am I making some kind of a novice error?
With best wishes and thanks

Simon
