Felix thinks it has something to do with the way the voice over is set up.  

On lap tops the mouse cursor can get scooted easily by touching that 
thumb-slide mouse pad.  Not sure what you're using.  But if that happens, and 
your voice over focus is set to follow the mouse cursor, that'll knock you out 
of what you're doing.

Just brainstorming.
