There is a nifty utility in your /applications/utilities/ folder called Network Utility. Run this application, and select the first tab option, of "info" Then, select the network interface you wish to learn the details of from the pop up menu. As I recall, 0 is built in ether net, 1 is airport, and you'll have a fw firewire option too. Remember, you can have lots of network cards on a Mac and most come with three options out of the box!

  Lots of cool stuff in Network Utility, and very VO friendly.
