Although these precautions are allotable, keeping doors closed and sealing the windows should be enough and keeping dust covers on the computers when they are not being used. If these precautions are taken I do not see the need to stop computing. The only time we turn off our computers is during a severe thunder storm when the weather service has told us that there is an extreme amount of cloud to ground lightning and public safety officials have requested that computers be shut off to protect them and the time I have lived here in Colorado this has only happened twice. I wish you and your family all the best and remain safe.

Earlier this morning, Mount Augustine, an active volcano in Alaska, erupted and there is a huge ash cloud headed straight for the metropolitan Anchorage area. And it's for that reason, I will be down for a while. My wife is covering all our computers here at my home to protect hem from sifting ash, as well as sealing off our windows. I will let everyone know when I am up and running again. Richie Gardenhire, anchorage, alaska.
