Weird problem in Mail

If I am in the mail message table, and see an msg I wanna read, I hit  
vo+J.  That works fine, but, then when I vo j to get back to the  
table, if I then hit the delete key, voiceover will say nothing.  The  
only way I found to read the next message it then pops me to is to  
down arrow once to the next row then up arrow.  Vo+L to read the line  
won't do it.  that just gives me a ding.

I am not interactin with the msg table.  I know really I probably  
should but it seems to read fine if I don't except for this.  I  
dono.  I guess I am not a big fan of having to vo all over the screen  
just to find the message table.
