Dan,
Unfortunately, Tc5 rooms from Talking Communities only sort of work on the mac. Basically, they've developed a flash-based client for the Mac which allows us to listen to the audio, text chat and view the web pages. I've found the client to be very accessible, although not having the ability to actually speak is unfortunate. Back when TC4 was the current version, they used technology developed by iVocalize which offered a Java client for the Mac. That Java client worked very well, it had it's issues but at least audio worked fine.

If you go to a room and do not see the option to launch the Mac, or Flash client, write to the administrator of the room as he/she should be able to enable the feature in their admin panel. I believe the feature is just called Audio Streaming in the admin panel which doesn't sound like what you'd want, but is.

HTH,

Steve

Hi all, I'm wondering if chat rooms from talkingcommunities.com will work at all on a mac? Don't want to have to use windows for that at all if I don't have to
