I think that when Darcy referred to the "manual" for the I-Tell he meant
the Information download link you get if you select the link to download
catalog and software updates, then go to the last entry (for the I-Tell)
on the resulting page and select that link, which brings up the Instructions:

I also meant to post two other commercial solutions for iPod usage that
use voice control.  Both of these (from Accenda and from DirectVoxx)
are pretty pricey ($100 and $150, respectively). They were discussed in
an Engadget article last week:

The  Accenda is set for a September release; the DirectVoxx muso is
supposed to appear at the end of the year.
