Backing up mail and Address Book

Hi folks,

I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for in Mail running  
under Leopard to back up my Mail and Address Book.

In Tiger I think I used to back up the Mail folder in the library of  
my home folder, and the Address Book folder in the Application Data  
folder of my home folder is this correct?

Can anyone suggest how to back up mail and Address book without using  
time Machine please?
