Hi,
In the prferences pain of ITunes ("CMD" + "comma"), you can specify wheter
to import songs to your ITunes library and have a copy places in the ITunes
music forlder. The option is on the advanced tab in the toolbar under the general subtab. The checkbox, by default, besides "Copy songs to Itunes Music Folder when adding to library" is checked. Uncheck this to prevent ITunes from copying the songs to your hard disk. There is also a checkbox labeled "Keep ITunes folder organized". Check this if you want ITunes to organie your music by artist and album in the ITunes music folder. Some people like it all thrown into a folder, and then organize it somehow themsselves. Personally, I prefer this feature checked, as it rally help to find some song in "Finder" Hope this helps, Thanks for listening, Alex, On Tue, Jul 29, 2008 at 4:01 PM, David Poehlman < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thanks steve, > > If I am understanding you correctly, once I create the library, I neeed to > move it to the drive before I access it? > > Thanks! > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Steven > M.
