Twitter is the latest and not so greatest "to coin a phrase"social
application that allows for short 140 character max messaging for the
masses. For example you post a message to the Twitter service and all of
your followers can see your post and respond back with their comments. I
have 199 people following me and I might say something like "Does anyone
know of a twitter client that's accessible for blind Mac users" and my
followers may say something like try Twitter Pod found at
www.twitterpod.com. It's quick and allot of fun. For my friends and private
twits I could say something as simple as "good morning all, I'll be at the
mall at 12 o'clock today" and my friends can say I am hear already waitting
on the rest of you to show up and another could say he is getting off the
bus and will be approaching the food court in 3 minutes. The service is a
blast if it works. They have some deployment and expansion issues but other
than that it's a great thing to use.

What is this Twitter? I keep hearing people talking about it but
assumed it was just something for pictures. But now I'm seeing blind
and visually-impaired people using it so I'm confused. *smile*
