Hi,
WHen you click the link to a PDF file, you should be able to read
it. If not, what I usually do is go to file, save as, and then I can
subsequently export the file, save it where I want, and then open it
in preview. Hope this helps.

Geia sas,
I'm having a few major problems here. I can't give websites because
they're confidential, but maybe, if I explain the problems, one of you
can help. First, there's this one site, let's call it pv, that I
can't get into with the Mac. I can log in but Safari can't recognise
the download files link. I tried this with JFW and it saw it as an
image map link. Most of the files there are pdf and so I'm using
Kurzweil to read them and then converting them to rtf files. Also,
there are some sections of another site, pl, that I can't read with
the Mac because they're pdf. These files are supposed to be
downloaded but when I click on the link, I just see things like blank
text, stop, back etc. It never downloads the file. On one of those
files I was able to do a command a and a command c in the blank text
area and somehow, it caught the file and I was able to copy the text
into Text Edit. But I'm not sure if it was a fluke or what. Either
way, I really want to get these sites working. The pv site, as I
said, also has pdfs and I'm afraid that even if I do get it to work,
it'll do the same thing as the other sites with pdfs. I went to
sendthisfile.com with the xp machine and logged in but every time I
went to send files, it said I needed to allow cookies, which I did.
Neither JFW nor NVDA is recognising the thing on gmail that let's me
upload files. It just says file upload edit and treats it like an
edit box to enter text and when I hit tab to see the files in my
computer it acts like I left that box. I've never had this happen. I
tried a few other free upload sites and it did the same thing. So I
can't download the files into the Mac. maybe, I'll just put them on
cd.
Sorry for rambling. Just really really frustrated! Feel free to
e-mail me offlist.
Thanks,
Tiffanitsa
