Obviously this isn't a thread to continue on this list, but I agree
perhaps it would be nice not to be blind, but at the same time, I
would say it has it's advantages. I think you have to keep all this in
proper context in any event. Now as far as the time being spoken, this
is not a function of VoiceOver, you don't even have to be using
VoiceOver. My wife is sighted and likes having the time spoken so she
isn't always having to look at the clock to know when an hour has
past. There are a number of "blind-friendly" products that can and do
benefit the sighted folks out there.
