Hi all.
Thank you for your mail and Ichat help thus far. I have two more
follow up questions.
If there is a large message in mail, how can I move around
efficiently? For instance, I am subscribed to several digests that
show all messages from the list in a long email. I don't want to read
all the messages, but just certain ones. I've tried using the item
chooser menu by hitting VO keys plus I. However, when I choose the
item I want, the cursor doesn't move to it. Similarly, when I try the
find command, voiceover finds the text, but again I am not moved to
it. My cursor remains where it was before I issued these commands.
What am I doing wrong? Can't I navigate with commands other than up and
down arrows?
I have one more question on Ichat. I found a way to get the system
voice to read incoming messages. However, if I'm writing with
voiceover, or reading something else when the message comes in, the
system voice is often interrupted by VO speaking. Similarly,
sometimes the system voice shuts up voiceover. I then have to go to
Ichat and interact with the html content to reread the entirety of the
last message. Note: This seems to happen even when the system and VO
voices are different. Is there a way I can stop the voice from being
cut off? I didn't see any setting to allow multiple voices to speak
simultaneously. Is there something I'm missing?
Thank you again all. I'm really appreciative, and hope to return the
favor some day.
P.S. Sorry about the length of this message. Feel free to mail me off
list to minimize clutter.
