podcasts in itunes not showing at the top of an expanded folder

this has just started happening.  don't know why. all of a sudden when  
i expand a folder for a podcast in itunes, instead of the podcast  
being at the top, it's somewhere at the top or near the bottom. i'm  
speaking about an unplayed podcast. any ideas what's caused this and  
how i can fix it?
