Hello,
Just a note about scanning materials in the correct orientation. What
I do is this, I take a sample page and try it. If it's garbled, then I
rotate it 180 degrees and try again. Once I have the orientation
established, I try to keep all pages in that dirrection. However, this
doesn't always work, because for many reasons the pages could become
emproperly oriented. This is why this would be a good idea for
automatic orientation. While one can play around with the page
orientation, it takes a long time, sometimes and just as sure as
shooting, when you think things are going smoothly, you find a page in
the mix that was scanned upside down.

model do you have? As a sidenote, that rotation feature also worries
me. As Dan said, it might be difficult for someone who's totally
blind to use.
