Hi Kara and Randy, Thanks to both of you for getting me out of this one: it's so simple and yet I got stuck. I couldn't arrow up or down the messages nor do anything with them other then press a tab and listen to all of them being read out to me. What a bore! I cannot but think one of my nightmarish and too often fulfilled thoughts that a blind computer user becomes very vulnerable at the time he or she least expects to be. O well, smile and spare a friendly thought for the weak-hearted like myself. Thank you listers again for being out there for me. Now it sounds weak and pathetic but that's me. Smile!

With best wisehs

Dear Listers,

Quite by chance and without meaning to do so, I have selected all my messages in a mailbox by pressing command+A. The result is that I cannot cursor up and down the list of messages, I can't seem to remove the selection by pressing command+a. What do I do? Please help. this is alarming. It also makes me feel stupid. I'm like a novice again. surely pressing command+A should remove the selection from the message list. It's crazy! I feel so embarrassed about asking you for such a small insignificant stupid thing but there it is.

With many thanks and an embarrassed smile, Simon
