Never mind. Yall aren't getting my question, and I dono any other
way a explaining it.
I am not referring to doing a voice chat. I am referring to
sending a voice clip! Those are two totally seperet things. I
don't wanna talk to the person via voice in a live real time voice
chat like you'd think of doing full duplex in Skype. That is not
what I wanna do. I wanna do this where I send the 20 or so second
long voice clip, then they get an IM window on their end saying
such and such sent a voice clip. Again. Just for the record: I
don't want to lively voice chat in a full on conversation. I'm
referring to just doing the 15 to 20 second long voice clips that
get recorded, then sent over msn to the other party.

As for Skype, a lotta my contacts do use Skype, and so do I, so
I'm fine there. I think you all took a slight bit outta context
what I meant though. I wasn't referring to doing a live voice
chat. I meant just simply sending and receiving voice clips
back and forth like you can do in windows live messenger 8 under
Windows by holding down the F2 key in a conversation window
speaking, then releasing the key to send it.
I just wish that there was a way on the Mac to do this, as I have
people who unfortunately can't seem to get it in their heads
that Adium won't voice clip.

Yep, people tell me all the time to switch to Adium and then
use Skype for voice communication. Problem is people are using
what's comfortable to them and who am I to demand they use Skype
so I can totally switch to Adium.

Ichat lets you audio and vidio chat. I use that as my
primary messenger and it works just fine.

As far as I know the only way you can do that now is use

There is a way to do this, but if you only want to text
message you might want to look at Adium from www.adiumx.com
. At least you can configure it with Growl. Personally
I like a messenger that doesn't require a lot of
interaction to use. You can do file transfers and check
hotmail but it doesn't support voice.

Hello,
I am using VoiceOver and would like to use Windows

to read the contact list for messenger when I use
the control- option-shift-down arrow to interact with

and goes straight to image behind it.
Is there a way to have VO read the contacts list in
windows messenger or is it just not a compatiable
program for VO? or am I just not using the right key
combinations? btw I am running Live Messenger 7.01 if
that helps at all.
thanks
